in the video which im sure heaps of u have seen, the bloke is hitting almost 6000rpm in second gear, and is only going like 70kms an hour?
in me ae82 with the same engine, im hitting 80-85km/hr easy? whats the deal? if anything i thought that the gears on the ae92 would be longer than those in an ae82 because it has a more powerful engine than an ae82 twincam gear box?
the only thing i can attribute this too is the lighter weight of the ae82, but even still, it shouldnt make that much of a difference? especially since his engine is brand new at the time of filming, and mine is now 14 odd years old?
maybe my tacho is off?
what speeds are u other 100kw owners hitting at 6000rpm in second gear?

My old ae92 sx would have hit about 70kms at 6000rpm in 2nd. I'm not definately sure but i remember that i would need to slow down when i hit 5000rpm in 2nd as the speedlimits in the streets around here are 60kmph.
I should have a new ae92 in a week or 2 so i'll give it a go and let you know, this one is slightly different again as it is a bigport motor in an ae92 but should be interesting.

Something else interesting i noticed in the video. At bathurst the 2 door rollas were fx gt models but toyota have replaced the rear hatch with an sx hatch to deceive the public
