Just s quick question in that I need to confirm what I am thinking.
I have a Bosch hi flow pump (I think it is a 910 unit ) that is to go into a 7M-GTE powered Mk2. The pump will be changed now to cater for future mods such as decent I/C, higher boost etc.
As this pump has a higher flow capacity, if nothing is changed over the stock pump, will i have to reduce the fuel pressure so that I maintain the current fuel delivry for the tune and then modify it alter as I complete the other mods ?
Will I need to increase the size of the fuel return line to prevent higher fuel pressure as there isn't sufficient fuel flow back to the tank due to restriction ?
1. No you should never have to change your fuel pressure unless you're being bodgy (ie trying to push stock injectors further than they should go).
2. Factory return lines are a pretty good size, so it's unlikely they'll present a restriction unless you have a ludicrously large fuel pump. I don't have any problems with my 255lph Walbro, but if you're worried it's easy enough to hook up a pressure gauge and watch what happens.
