Man i did my AE92 GZE in a week of hard yakka. Learning as i went, and reading lots of guides.
Now im doing the HG a similar way. In car though, so annoying with clearances and stuff.

Ae82 is a little harder.. as the rear gearbox mount is all skewiff, but still not impossible by any means.
Drive it to sydney and ill do it for $1500

The fact that this site is here to help toyota modders of all levels of experience I was merely asking for some HELP.
If I get a bagging bandwagon, what will want to make me come back here on a regular basis to ask questions. It is a place for stupid questions and help of every kind - cut me some slack...
by the way - I'm not technically minded and don't have the facilities to do it myself. Don't have time either.
Thanks alot

http://www.rollamods.com
This has a 4AGZE into AE92 guide, I am sure you can adapt it for the AE92. Tech section is very good too.
http://www.ae92gts.com
Good guides again, but into an AE92. Usefull for MT conversion and Carb-EFI aswell.
http://www.twincam.org
Most 4A people reside there so chances are you will get some help.
Do a search on this forum and twincam.org for 4AGZE Conversion, you'll get good results.
http://www.club4ag.com
More info, and forums to search aswell, mainly an International site but plenty of aussies to boot.
http://www.racingstrong.com
Good diagrams for AE92 body etc and some good tech
Now, I am in a similar boat to you, except
a) it's hard to find a AE92 MAP GZE cut at the moment that I can see/test. I will probably go an AE101 cut if one appears...
b) My driveway has fake cobblestone and as such is unsafe to jack a car up on. Thus I must clean the shed first or find a kind person's house (yeah right!)
If you want a place to do it, and I agree about Toyospares I have had too much BS said to me, however I would give them a go still if I wasn't prepared to do it myself.
ID4's in Richmond
If the wiring gets you stuck, try contacting xpimp of these forums... he will come to you for a fee.

no offence dude, but a nick of "fully sick" isn't a great way to start
And you've already had an offer from karl to do it for you for $1500... you wont find that price beaten anywhere

oh... and before you jump up and down crying "ARSE RAPE! ARSE RAPE!", remember we all think we are comedians here, hence there is a level of sarcasm and humour that has to be read into before you think anyone is really taking the piss or just having a laugh.
Personally - i would give it a shot myself, but that's because i've done a fair bit of this type of thing already. I can empathise with how daunting the task may appear, when i started doing this stuff it was scary and i felt very stupid. But doing some reading (esp on these and the twincam forums) i learnt a lot very quickly.
Call around your local performance shops and see who can do the conversion. Be wary, it will cost you above $2.5k for such a conversion!
