my bad- 18r-gu head no. is actually a 88253 Sat, 21 August 2004 08:56 Go to next message
i wrote a topic and said the head no. for my rgu engine was 88251 and asked if this was good or bad, but for some reason i assumed that the the no. on the cams - 88251 would be the same as the actual head no. i knew it was 8825x but wasnt 100% sure of the last no. those heads are good apparently so im happy Very Happy and the whole engine only cost me $100 Very Happy

88253 is the same as the EFI head, minus the more conservative cams and the reliefs for the injectors on the intake ports.

I have one of these heads too, but im using the 88250.

Sorry to but in, I recently purchased a 18RGR with head number 88230. Do you know any thing about these?

early model, small valves small ports but phatest cams of all the 18R-G's.

There is MASSIVE amounts of info on the 18R-Gs, if you actaully did some SEARCHING on the internet Wink
