That is absolutely fucked dude...
If you break the studs then you should be able to drive on three for a little while just move one of the other studs over, if they are individual studs...
Try getting some propane (BBQ Gas Cylinder) and pressing it up against the nut & stud and it should freeze and then it might crack off...
Just a thought.

Take it back to the asshat who did that and demand he fix it immediately. That's some pretty nasty shit, and you shouldn't have to deal with it.

last time this kind of thing happened to my mums car, she drove back to tyre shop (toowoomba) - parked across entrance to workshop and advised them to remove the (nearly welded on) nuts, make good any damage and then refit nuts by hand at no charge... and made it plainly known to all the people in the waiting room that she wasn't going to move the car at all until they had done so... (folded arm, glaring at manager sort of stuff)
this only works if you have the time and patience to watch them do all the work - and your presence must be plainly obvious to all involved (no sitting in the waiting room). Also helps if workshop has only one main entrance to workshop.
seriously: can you remove the whole wheel/bearing hub and dril out the stud from the rear?... oh, no you can't because the caliper is in the way... can you remove that with wheel on?
or ... nail puch in centre of stud to start and then ruin all your sharp drill bits... then take to T***** for new studs... and possibly hub.

That could work or you could pull your wheel off with a grinder and then throw it though the front window of the fuckwits that sold it too you, that may get thier attention...

I'd go back to tempe immediately and get them to fix it. They're a pretty pro outfit (dicey wogs akimbo, but professional), and should take respnsibility for fucking your studs.
Personally, I wouldn't have picked the car up till it was fixed. Failing that, report them to ACCC for dodgy proceedures, or threaten to at the very least. You'd be amazed how quickly that gets results (and if you know a good lawyer, ask him to write you a polite but forceful letter)

you could do what I did if you have access grind a slit in the top of the nut with a grinder then shoved a piece of flat bar in the slot and turn with huge shifter.
I had to do this when I bought my car and didn't get the lock nut key.
aHave all tools at home here in KL if you need to borrow them. incl flat bar/ tyre lever

seriusly I don't know what to do.. was thinking of getting some drills and nuking my studs.. seem the only way to go now..
the kind folks at Tempe ***** decided to miss thread my nuts and fuse them to my bolts *immature laugh*

HELP!
|
Looks like a bit more than a mis-threaded nut... or are the nuts in the picture what happened as a result of you trying to get them off???
I think drilling out the studs is probably going to be the only way to get the wheels off the hub without destroying the wheels.

Holy crap that's some screwed up shit.
Go the drill - new studs aren't that expensive anyway.

Or you could try welding a piece of bar onto the remains of the nuts if possible. Then lean on the bar and unwind it to get them off.
Pretty lethal to the nuts, and wheels also, but another option.
Gettting the stupid workshop to fix them would be a lot less work though.

It's a shame you had a go at the nuts as the tyre mob could say that you stuffed it up so bad luck.
But as for the clutch coming out,why do you need to remove the wheel?
Most front drive boxes, auto or manual,i just undid the ball joint and the driveshaft and pushed the whole hud and strut out to remove the driveshaft on the short side.
As for the long side leave everything there and pop the shaft of the box as it comes out.Or isn't there enough room for this?
If you really want to get the wheel of to do the job then get a couple of packets of double ended 1/8 drill bits and go to town with those. They come 5 or 10 to a pack and are not that dear.Just be careful that you don't snap one off in there.
Good luck.

i had that problem once... what i did was get a smaller sized socket, hammer it onto the nut and got a breaker bar...
Or
if you have some kind of blow torch then you can heat the nut, which will make it expand and if you have clamping pliers (the ones that you can lock in place) then clamp the nut and try take it off

Have had something like this problem with crap lock nuts..put them on once or twice with the hardened steel 'key'then you go to do it again and the keyway on the nut strips.FAAAAAAAARRRRRRRKKKKKKKK.
I used this method to shift the butchered nut/s..use Vise Grips..good ones..Petersen Forge etc...the ones with the screw adjustment on the upper handle and the click lock set up on the lower handle..as tight as you can..I set the grips upside down with what is the upper arm parallel to the ground and packed it on some bricks...then I stood on the now upturned lower arm and got the jaws set and locked as tight as my puny 80kgs could ...then I put my little trolley jack under the end of the grips and slowly pumped it up...I had soaked the stud areas overnight with wd40 and bugger me it worked!!!and the grip jaws did not break..nothing like a quality forged tool...
Obviously you would need to move your wheel to get the best angle to do something similiar..hope there is enough room...
Good luck..
