Hi,
I heard about it from the Classic Celica site and Yahoo Celica forum.
I couldn't find a Celica-only site in Sydney, but the dudes from the other sites said that some of the Toymods people drive the old classics. Also, the meetings are 5 mins from where I live, which is most handy. And, you get a T-shirt and a sticker. So, here I am.
I was told you all like scintillating conversation and witty repartees.
Aren't you guys and gals glad I'm here?

When I bought my car, the nice old lady that use to own it told me about it, she was considering bolting a turbo onto the bitch, but said it might scare her grandchildren, so she turboed her scooter instead.
Nahhh in all seriousness I had a dream one night that directed me here, something about Toyotas and Modding my car, bizzarre but I put the two together and decided to try it in my address bar, and here I am. SERIOUS!! 80yrs strong mayte!!!

Either it was because some tool cut me off one night when i was out cruising in maroochydore. Sweet looking rolla with the ToyMod's sticker.
Or i was doing a google for rolla mods and found it.
Or i had a look at the links page on Club4ag.
Either way it was it was about 3 years back. Never really bothered with the forum till last month i got bored thought ah phuck it. And i haven't been bored since

when my turbos blew on my old gz20 soarer I was looking for info. about 1jz-gte swaps. I got some info. from here but at that time nobody on here had done it so it wasn't all that helpful. Silly me went and bought the wrong half cut and had to sell it because I ran out of money. Whoops off topic
so the answer is google.

First time i found this site, i had just written off my TE27, which i had spent 17yrs looking for, and needed a shoulder to cry on, seeing as my then wife did not understand, and did not care. So i looked, i drooled, and cried some more.
I think it was Stitt who mentioned the site in ClassicCrown, when i got my sh'ite together, and decided to look for a crown wagon.
Hell, now i have 3 wagons, but only one runs, and that is a just. Tomorrow i get the cooling system sussed out, to see if it is a BHG.
Fingers crossed it aint.
Hey River, ya gonna bring ya blue celica in october? I hope to bring my slot cars with me, and then maybe we can race my AFX supras against some Nissan GTRs

Helping my mates uncle do up his ex army jeep & someone said SA63 seats bolt right in and are heaps lowrider, maaaate, so I hit google with "SA63 seat"....
Nah, I found it back in the days when I was trying to get info on a GZE conversion into the '86. Spent pretty much all my money here since, so I suppose it was successful.

a guy i used to work(known on here as kevz0r) with told me about it when i was looking for a car(to replace the shitter i had at the time) which i think it was a sprinter i was after at that stage...i'd never heard about initial d, just thought they looked cool
i originally signed up under a different name to what i have now...cant remember what it was or why i changed
in fact i only think i ended up with this name because i was rather drunk when i signed up and couldnt think of one so i stole my friends usual online alias
so yeah
i've been lurking on here since around may 02
i post alot of shit, and possibly a little amount of what might be termed as useful :/

I found thew link on a celica website like 2/3 years ago but didn't post on here for ages cuz i just liked reading what u guys posted.
And i'd never had any reason to ask any questions as as far as i was concerned my car was "tha bomb" There was no car better on the roads. But i've realised that there are quicker cars out there so i'm doing the conversion hopfully with help from u guys.
