1g-gte blowing smoke

My 1g is blowing smoke. Heaps of blue smoke when I start it up, black smoke when we are seriously on boost, periodically blue smoke just off boost and blue smoke when reving after being on boost.
Also, there is a large amount of oil acrueing near the exhaust ports on number 3&4 cylinder.
Anyone got any ideas?
Plus, my w58 (atleast I think it's the gearbox) is making a bit of a high pitched whinghing noise. Maybe the uni's?

You may have damaged the engine, perhaps just suffed a piston. There are many variables that could cause a bit of oil smoke from valve guides/stem seals to worn rings, damaged rings or damaged piston.
To start the process of elimination I would suggest a compression test followed by a leak-down test to see if the piston/ring and valve seats are healthy.
IF a piston is damaged it should show shitloads of blow-by (lift the oil cap while the engine is running).

Depends on your classification of blow by, but there is a reasonable bit of blow by coming out of the oil cap when lifted.

Hrm. I would tend to agree with you. Maybe time for a new motor.
