Has anyone tried fitting 32/36 DGV weber carby onto KE70 4K-C? How successful was the job?
The car is just the daily runner so I have difficulty justing $$$$ for an engine swap.
BTW a previous thread mentioned the 4A-C would bolt up to a 4K gearbox. Does that mean you just lie the 4A-c over on an angle??.
Alternatively does someone in North Queensland has a spare 2T/3T & gearbox hibernating in the back shed (previous vehicles included 74 TA22. Very easy engine to "tweak" Up To Something )

Gday
To fit this carby it would cost about $400- that would include the carby + rebuild + adaptor plate + modifying linkages and tuned and jetted to your car, it will make a bit of difference as long as you fit a sports exhaust to match, it should rev quite well and put out some more HPs.
I am sure a 4AC will not fit your gear box or engine mounts.
Same with the 2TGs and 3TGs you can make them fit with mods but they do not bolt staight up.
Good luck.

GAZZAke25,
thanks for you quick reply.
I have the carby(4 left over from previous projects)and knowledge/ability to manufacture linkage and also rejet and tune to suit(16 years playing with this carby and others on Ford RS2000 and numerous conversions to Celica,Gemini,Mini etc for myself and friends)all I need to purchase/manufacture is the adapter plate. Just curious if anyone had any experience with this setup(why reinvent the wheel?)and if it would be worth the time invested.
