most bars your gonna get will have dents or problems, i recon you would be better off getting the dents taken out of the bars you got and then re chrome them... i got quoted $180 per bar to re chrome (full dip chrome strip and re chrome dip) at bluchrome in bankstown.

when i went last year the guy told me that he will de chrome them and cause they dip it into a a heat just befomre melting point it usually kills/burns the rust on the inner parts of the bar. then i go get them fixed up and bring it back to get re chromed

so all up it would cost $360 for 2 bars + what ever a beater would take to file finish the dents. i wouldnt pay more than $400 if its just a coupl dents... yeah $400 is a bit but you will have brand new bars! or you could just buy them brand new chromed for $300 each swapped
