Another cold start problem with 4AGZE

After my last thread about the 3SGE throttle body in place of the 4AGZE one, I have found a genuine 10hp increase (dyno) with I might ad a better a/f mixture top end, came down to about 11.4 as apposed to 10.5!! better response through out the whole rev range, but it doesn’t idle when cold, because I have taken off all the vacuum pipes and coolant lines, the wax thing and put an aluminium plate on it . living in queensland it doesn’t really affect me..but I would like to try an fix it..just more user friendly, I have already hooked up a 12v vacuum solenoid just below the throttle body, and to a switch, this works very well..but only lets in about 200rpm worth of air under the throttle..who makes a slightly larger solenoid with say 5mm vacuum lines? and I’ll replace the small 3mm one on the pipe with a 5mm one, it’s standard injection, so it’s just a little more air that needs to get in, not fuel right?

The standard airconditioning idle up valve should do the job nicely.
You wouldn't have scans of your dyno charts would you?

GZE uses a 3 wire idle control motor,
does your 3sge throttle body have this on it?? if not there is your problem

my scanner shit itself, i suppose i could take a pic with my digital camera? on hi res? he he dodgy i know.
no the 3SGE body doesn't have the 3 wire thing, i know thats the problem, but i grabbed the solenoid off the charcoal canester of an AE82 4afc i think? dunno didn't have a motor in it, and it's 5mm!!! so much air!! hooked it up, ice cold start at 7am this morning, perfect idles about 1600rpm..but, when there is no power to it, it's open..and it gets incredibly hot when there is power to it (shutting it) for long periods of time, so i am scared it's gonna burn out or something and my car will be idling a 3000RPM!

look for a valve off a XF falcon, it is a temp strip, when it is cold it opens the valve and when hot it closes it,
you hook it up to ign and away you go
