RA28/23 Headlight Relay Wed, 25 August 2004 10:16 Go to next message
Hi guys. Am having trouble with the headlights on my RA28. Have only just got the car and am in the process of giving it a once over. The headlights were working sporadically but only on the odd occasion. Now they have finally given up all together. The side parkers work, however when the lights are switched on there is only the click from the relay. The high beam blue light indicator is on all the time when the lights are switched on too. Any ideas? Is it likely that the relay is stuffed? I cant see any obvious discolouration or burnt parts in it and have put the multimeter on it and seems to be ok at a quick glance. Any other ways of testing it, or narrowing down the prob?
Any thought appreciated.

Cheers. Tom

I have the same problem with my RA28 and I know it is a loose wire in the wiring connector under the steering wheel.

Being an electrician you would think I would fix it. I guess I am just slack.
