i have tuned a 4age 20v, it had a small t25 off a early sr20 on it, small intercooler, 1jzgte injectors, microtech LTX8,
made 185rwhp on 6psi boost,
turbo your 20v mate! you wont be dissapointed!
you will find you will have all these people come on here and tell you not to do it it will break etc, dont listen to them, as long as the tune is good it wont break, keep the boost under 10psi and you will be fine,
get a s15 BB t28 for it and you will make easy 210rwhp on 7psi boost.
dale

From what I can read off the original post, it looks like he's already got a 4A-GZE. So turbo that. It's heaps stronger internally.

The 20V has a MUCH better top end.
But boosting it puts you closer to its limit. So a bad tune could lead to catastrophic events.

bad tune on any turbo motor leads to failures, so its the same as any other turbo motor

although thier different part numbers (i think), the 20v rods and crank are the same size and strength as the ZE's, the difference is that the ZE has lower compression pistons, you could help the life of your 20v if you put a slightly thicker head gasket in, just to reduce the static compression abit,
OR
whack in a GZE complete bottom end, bolt the 20v head on the top straight on swap, a few little things here and there.. and turn up the boost!! seen the speed tech corolla? 84' 300kw at the tyres, on the stock bottom end!! AHHHH!!!!!!
