 Has anyone put rear RA60 seats into RA65 ... ? Help

There is a bolt that does not quite match up for the ra65 celica folding seats ... has anyone actually used ra60 seats for their ra65 ?

Well, Nathans got MA61 seats in his RA60 as far as I know, so there is no reason why they wouldnt go into an RA65.

let me show u guys fotos .. one day ..
You need to grind off a mounting bolt from the RA60 HATCH seats and drill a screw hole to fit the RA65 hatch bracket ... they are not the same
obviously the MA61 seats fit into the RA60 because they were made during 83-85 or whatever ... hence JCMF not having any problem fitting them up
My RA65, being 86 make had an updated style of rear seats

How does that explain how the latest model seats from the non-stripey cars can be put into the earlier model Supras?

that is very interesting if they would change some seat mounting points, hmmm i wonder how your seats would compare to a st162 being that is also a 86 model

well, whatever the reason is (??) the RA60 seats are different to the RA65 seats ....
Or could it possibly be that they were SA63 seats that are different from the RA65 seats ?
I will take photos to show u guys .. im intrigued ... and also pissed that I had to spend so much effort fitting the seats in !!

sorry mid 85's - i got confused with my ae"86" hence year 86 i said
umm - but yeah - i think my RA60 seats may have been out of a SAxx ??? hence the extra bolt that caused complications
reason for changing was ... i had blue ra65 trim and its gay ...
i now have nice grey trim to go with my cordia seats !!

the trim on the ra60 vs sa63/ra65 is noticably different. I can't see the sa63 and ra60 being the same bolt wise.
On the ra60, behind the back seats there isnt that chassis bar thing that goes between the tower sorta things. Maybe thats why they changed it??
I've noticed a few minor changes between my ra60 and my sa63. The steering column covers are differnt. On the gauge clusters, the indicator lights on the later style are cut out, whereas the ra60 has squares that light up with the arrows screen printed on.
Things like battery/washer bottle swapping sides is obvious, im sure there is plenty more!

Are we talking about front or rear seats here?
The rear of the RA60 is potentially different to the Sa63/ra65/ma6x because of the IRS, but the front seats should be identical.
If you're talking about front seats.. have you got left and right mixed up?

I happen to like the blue ra65 trim (blue with black/blue stripes, yes?. One of the more taseful xA6x trims that toyota released!
Don't suppose you kept the bits you took out??
