Removing RA28 side windows

Hi all,
Anyone know how to remove the windows behind the doors on a RA28?
Ive removed the 3 or 4 screws on the inside around the windows, but windows still dont seem to come out.
They move around a lot when i pull on them, but i cant see what they are still attached to.
Also, how do i safely remove the trim from around the windows and the gutters?
Obviously i dont want to bend the gutters and i also want to keep those pesky plastic clips from the front/back windows intact.
Thanks guys.

I'll assume the windows have also been glued in, as once you remove the screws retaining them, it's simply a matter of force to pop them out of their housing. The complete window, housing and seal should come out in one piece, though I'd say you're going to destroy the seal removing them if they are still solidly held. Gutter Chrome removal is best done with a Bolster that has had the ends ground away so as not to mark the chrome while you hit it off.

Thanks.
After i looked at it a little more, it was quite obvious.
But i found more serious rust behind the gutters... the last straw.
Off to the wreckers this RA28 shell goes

mate if you want an pretty good RA28 shell the siktoy is selling one for $500, add a couple hundred to ship to you through finemores and bobs your uncle, also if you have the $700-$800 then i would keep the shell you got for the mean time just in case.
believe me when ever doing a rebuild on an oldy like these it is VERY GOOD practice to have a second shell i recon if you got the room. if you need to cut rust out then you potentially have the other car to cut out if it isnt rusted.
theres some food for thought
oh yeah and you need DETERMINATION MATE! dont get scared of the rust, my '22s got rust....... everywhere but it aint gonns scare me cause i got a grinder and hack saw

fair enough, well i would still advise to check out siktoys car, but hang on i think its a RA23... hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm should check it, either way if you keep an eye out for a RA28 shell it shouldnt cost more than $300 to tow. that price is what i get charged for towing a car from QLD to SYD using finemores so you would be looking at round the same price.
you can always call finemores and ask them

MWP,
Seeing your pics was like walking down memory lane. I did a ground up re-buid of my RA28 about ten years ago. All your rust spots are typical for that model.
I replaced my bonnet, LHS quarter panel, both door skins and beaver panel. This kept the rust under control for quite sometime but I have noticed it has returned where I repaired the guards and around the windscreen.
Anything is repairable and trust me you will be one of only a few people on the road with a straight RA28.

Ive got replacment fenders, doors, bonnet.
As i said before, its the roof thats the problem.
It really does need a whole new good roof, to find that ill need to find a good shell, and when i do i might as well buy the whole shell.
See what i mean...
