Service time for my GZE, is there anything wrong with Ryco oil filters? i have always used them, think there pretty tops, never had problems, but my mate who works on Subarus all day every day said that they are a bad filter, and he always get genuine..i can get toyota genuine ones, (3 mates work for toyota!) but is there actually anything wrong with ryco's? they have the drain back valve, aside from the filter material thats pretty much all there is to them right?

I use Penrite HPR15 semi-synth 15w60, and a genuine filter, though I have a ryco on at the moment.
Part# 90915-YZZE2
I've heard that its not good to use a full synth unless the car has been running on full synth since new.
