I'm pulling out my 7M and might be lining up the 1UZ this weekend (if the 1UZ gets delivered).
If anyone wants to come along to "help" your more than welcome, send me a PM with some contact details and I'll give u my number and address.
I'm gonna get some beer (depending on how many people) and probably a BBQ of some sort.
Tools or tech knowledge is welcome.
It'll be at my place, in Picnic Point, Sydney.

New engine isn't gonna be there, so it'll only be pulling out the old engine and getting it ready.
Damn. Bloody banks taking 2 days to deliver my money which they take out of my account as soon as I press the button! Grrr

haha for free beer i will come over and oversee it and tell you how to do it the proper way without being boggey. and will even bring my tools. but if you want me to do it it would cost you alot more.

7MGTE is out, so is the gearbox (spilt a little oil out the back when the tailshaft fell off). The engine mounts were broken through and all the electrical stuff was easy to take out. Sorting out a shortened shifter (Dellow Auto don't open till 8:30, was there at 8:05 but had to go to work).
What engine mounts should I start with? Anyone have any? I was thinking of starting with the 1JZ and modifying them.
New engine should arrive today, bellhousing sometime this week. Next weekend will try and weld up some mounts.

Beer and car work don't mix.
We (4 of us) spent 2 days trying to pull a mates motor out for a conversion and ended up getting the radiator out and had fun dinting the front cuts panels
ha ha

Yeah, there wasn't as much beer drunk as I expected. Had one at lunch, and one after it was out. That was it. Dissapointed actually.
