question: why put an R series engine in a T series celica? Bit of a waste wouldnt u say?
WOuld have been easier to buy an RA23 and whack the 18RG in that, Or buy a 2TG or 3TGTEU in the ta?

A while ago i bought a ta22 with the 18rgu in it. it went realy hard but had some issues with rust, it had to go. i bought the white celica as a daily driver always with a view to put the 18r in it.
not that wierd an idea, overseas (america) got an ra20 and ra21

I would be looking at it more for the engine than the car itself, but if I re-rego'd it for the time being what would need to be done to get it through rego?

It would take a bit to make it registerable again, replace gearbox xmember, get carb mixture screw. tidy up etc. but engineering should be easy with the engineer papers from the donor ta 22.
