Ive had a look in the engine manual, and done a search, and i cant find anything on it.

Does anyone know if the Toyota HGs need to be retorqued after 1000km or are they mono-torque gaskets.
Same for the TRD units, are they monotorque?

If they need retorquing what procedure do i go through, because the engine manual doesnt detail anything.

I'd be interested in knowing this too. I asked a mechanic about it and he thought there was cutoouts in camshaft so you could mange to get socket in there etc. But Having a look I don't htink so. Surely they don't expect you to pull timing belt off and cams out again :S

those links weren't the best.... Seems like you can use a monotorque head gasket so you don't have to retorque. That sounds good to me. I wonder if many people have used these successfully
