hey,
Just wondering the best place in Perth, Western Australia, to buy new or used 18r-g parts!! Converting an 18r-c in the not too distant future (got to save some money). and need these parts:
- complete 18rg head (incl. chain gudes)
- timing cover (incl. chain guides)
- oil pump
- block auxilary shaft with dizzy drive sprocket
- pistons
- timing chains
- inlet + exhaust manifold
Also a quick question , probally stupid a one, but is there any covers that need to be brought to cover holes in the block where the old oil pump was placed?
Thanks
Josh

dont bother, just get the whole engine, cause if u use the 18RC bottom end u will only have approx 8.0:1 comp

does the compression stay at 8.0:1 even if you change the pistons??
if so what needs changing?? coz the crank is the same, its got the same bore the only things that is different is the pistons!!
I don't get it?? help

well if u change to the 18RG pistons {whichever ones u can get} then the comp will be the same as an 18RG
bottom ends are the same cept for the pistons, some ppl just get an entire 18RG, put the RC bottom end and the 18RG head and timing gear together, that gives them lower static compressiona nd then they just add boost
