TA22 High Beam...

Hey guys, my celica is up for rego, but i don't think it will pass because the high beam doesn't work.
Basically when you switch it on, all the lights go off.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?
i have pulled the mechanism of the steering column and it seems fine, ie all the switches make contact. Could it be a relay or wiring? (wires seem fine)
Any help would be great.
Thanks, Sean.
P.S its not the globes, i tried that. Thanks.

Search the tech & conversion section for a thread titled
Ta22 and flasher unit/sss
In this thread there is a post by Azrael which has a link to a wiring diagram for a TA22. Have a look at the colour coded diagram. It is easier to follow. I would suggest checking your dipper switch wiring with a test light. It switches the negative to change beams.
With the headlights on and the dipper switch unplugged try earthing the red/yellow wire then the red/green wire. This should trigger the high and low beams. If the lights work check for an earth at the dipper switch (should be white/black).
If all the wiring checks out try a new dipper switch.
Good luck and let us know how you go.
Brad
