going to put this strut into my car and drop the spring perch down so the ride hight is the same as before with the same spring, how would this effect my camber?

also if this is done would this make the spring loose when the suspension is full extended.?

and would i have to get it engeeneered/QLD.?

This is totally not the way to go about it. You're simultaneously;

1. reducing bump stop clearance
(leading to bottoming out after minimal/insufficient travel),
and
2. losing spring captivity at full extension
(how did you think that increasing the distance between the spring seats at full extension wasn't going to affect spring captivity..?)

I'm doing this at the minute and there's a lot to consider. PM me if you like for details?

Last I heard it was perfectly legal to modify suspension components by welding without any inspection at all. Have fun!

thats why im asking the question, Razz

With stiffer springs and shocks is the 2cm's les travel going to make much difference anyway.

Anyone else who can give the answer or another way to do it, i have been told you can easily modify mr2 or corrolla shocks to fit which have a shorter stroke.

Thanks Jason

Like you said, 2cm is stuff all in effect. 2cm may be fine, but you'll want more.
