In my experience - yes. But I have not disassembled all types of 2T heads.

cool its just iw as going through the wilkins site and they only have the 2TG valves in/ex... also it says that the 2TG and 3TG bearings are the same too, is that right?

also finally are all the timing chains, tensioners and stuff the same between the 2?

Most stuff is the same between 2T-G and 3T-GTE. Bearings should also be common to 3T-C. Rings can be different, different thickness.

Early 2T-G (-88220) have smaller valves. All others and 3T-GTE should be the same.

Timing chains are the same.

The chain dampener at the front of the head in between the cam gears is different for the 3T GTE compared to the 2TG. The 3T one is relieved for the oil breather.

Chains are the same.

Be careful when assembling with aftermarket con-rod big end bearings - the oil squirt holes for the thrust side of the pistons do not line up with some brandes and the bearings need to be drilled accordingly.

Rings should come with the pistons that you buy.

Chain dampeners are not avaliable anyplace anymore as far as I know.

Note: Guys are Repco will have no idear what a 3T-GTE engine is. Do the homework yourself. The ACL book they use will list the 2T-G and 3T-GTE engines as being 16 valve. This is a obvious mistake so don't let it trip you up. Grap the book off the parts guy and change it with a pen yourself.
