was muckin around with the oil return pipe to the throttle body of a 3sge, tried to take the pipe off and its broken in half, i guess it was getting hot and cold so many times it would just go dead hard, so i decided to try a DIY oil catch can to see whether its actually worth doin in the future properly, so i've got the half broken pipe, and angled it down into a small bottle, i know its quite dodgy but i'm testin it out only for now...
I went for a drive after doin it, it seems to rev a bit better, and yeah pull that bit extra, i don't think its in my head, i'm not saying it makes a huge difference but i can feel somethin there...
I'll get pics of it tonight...
Any thoughts?
Any ideas for cheap (but neat) oil catch cans which won't stand out, just like a black container etc...
Thanx

I'm going to use the metal bottle from the NOS brand octane boost... I reckon its the perfect size for my application!

You could use an old fuel filter, and run a breather out of the other end, so that you can't build up crankcase pressure. That'd be virtually invisible, if mounted near the REAL fuel filter.

Just a question, but could I have some information on what exactly this is???. I would like to do something like it, but don't understand what were actually doing. Does it damage the motor?? What are we taking away from the intake? Ive seen cars with what looks like little Airfilters on the pipes??? Is this a breather system? What sort of gains to you get?
Thanks.
