MTG Online Thu, 02 September 2004 06:52 Go to next message
Hi,

Has anyone got the Magic-The Gathering Online executable?

I can down load it, but it's 197Meg and that's a little too big for my poor 56k dial-up. It takes 19hours and my ISP kicks me off after 4hours.

I tried to download it from my wife's work - but it only lets 36Meg through before it stops.

I would of thought my car spoke volumes of my age anyway!

So, maybe I should get cable and stop playing MTG and then get rid off the car? Maybe buy a Prius, perhaps? Smile

PS: But I'll never stop playing ASL - the greatest wargame ever devised, and it just keeps getting better!

You're a champ. I loaded "getright" and I got 45M down before I got disconnected. When I restarted I got a message saying "this server doesn't support recovery" & it sent me back to the beginning again.

The URL is http://www.wizards.com/magiconline/download_client .asp
The download is the pretty circular-graphic thingo. If you could download it I'd be very appreciative. I got a blank CD to give you.

Northmead eh? Practically neighbours.

On the way, I may stop off at Carrington road and paint some rude words in brake fluid on a crappy white RA28. Laughing

Thanks. I tried "getright", but the MTG server doesn't like it.

It's a collectible card game, but getting personal players is hard, so I'm gonna check out the on-line version.

Sorry, I cannot give the car to you yet 'cos it needs some work done on it and I'd feel bad giving it to you in its current condition. Smile

Isn't that what the "chat" fucntion is for? So you can slag 'em while you're pulverising 'em.

Damn - got the wrong car! I'm gonna tell the 7ft beast that you tried spying up her skirt again. She'll bitch-slap you back to Sutherland for that!

Did you see the blue RA23 for sale along Showground road? Assuming you go along that way to work?

Oh BTW, I gave you a beating in the "Punch up" topic. Smile
