Exhaust pop

was checking my oil the other day, 22re drinks a bit. Once it had warmed up I wanted to get if it was still blowing any smoke. Blip the throttle to 3krpm and then let return to idle. Go to about 1700rpm and then you can hear pops through the exhaust like there is unburnt fuel in there.
Ps Only blew smoke above 5krpm

if its when you just take the throtle off, it is unburnt fuel because it is still pulling a slight bit of fuel through but not igniting it, also if u have a larger then stock exhaust or sports muffler they tend to suck air in and then pop it back out.

Had a look at the exhaust the pipe coming off the extractors is larger than the next piece, about 2inch. When my uncle sold it too me he had removed the aftermarket muffler that was on the car as it was illegal ,ie spat flames when backing off in 3rd on freeway and was way too loud. It made the car run like shit anyway. Was like a twin 3inch outlet anyway. The muffler and rear pipe are now smaller as went back to stock.
I don't mind the noise just worried in case anything was wrong that all.
