I have a fully legtimate foxtel converter box which has been 'lost' by foxtel for sale if someone wants it. It has the required patch cables with it. How does $50 sound?

Ummm, are you talking about the decoder box?
And is it one that plugs into the cable network or to a dish on ya roof?

It is the one that plugs into the cable network rather than the sattelite one, that's why it's no good to me.
If you have the cable running into the house already, then this box will plug in, but the thing is you see, the box has the card in it, now I'm not sure what the card entitles you to. I know the card was subscribed at some stage, I dont' know whether that means that it's not subscribed anymore, or whether the card in it doesn't really matter, but the box is one that was previously running. Plug it in and see what it does.

If it's just the box that plugs into the cable network, its not even worth using as a doorstop
You need an Austar pace decoder to get all the channels free!
