1g-gze ecu info Mon, 06 September 2004 09:52 Go to next message
Just a quick one;

Will a 1ggze loom originally from an automatic be compatible with a 1ggte a340e ecu?

And another;

Is the 1ggte afm compatible with 1ggze ecu?

Cheers, Matt

You will have to be more specific with your questions regarding the years of the components you are asking about.
In either 1988 or 1989 the 1G-GZE ECU pin-outs on the Crown model changed from 24p-10-18p to 26p-16p-22p.
While its possible that all those components will 'click' together, I would be concerned that the signals generated by the non-original bits are not what the ECU is expecting and the thing will default into limp home mode.

No problems...a 1ggze came up fairly cheap in the trading post, and was toying with the idea of using that, rather than a 1ggte. But I think it'll be too much of a pain to find the correct bits and pieces, along with the extra work involving the radiator.
