EOI: 1GGTE Engine, ECU, Loom Mon, 06 September 2004 11:39 Go to next message
Im pulling out the Generation 1 and replaceing it with a Generation 3.

The engine is still in the car but just asking an expression of interest if anyone wants to buy the lot.

When i had it on the street it did lag a bit, not sure if one of the turbos are gone but will have a better look once its out.

I drove it form Sutherland to Castle Hill for a few weeks and never missed a beat.

I have included a video of the engine idleing. Feel free to organise to come have a look but i will be pulling it out shortly.

Will have an intercooler for sale to either be sold seperately or with the package.

Darkstar is probably right,
Didn't the gen 1 engines have the top mount, water to air cooler? or has this been changed over on your engine.

by looking at them they're the same?

WASNT THE OIL FILLER CAP IN THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE FOR GEN 1 AS OPPOSED TO BOTH THE PICS HERE WHERE ITS IN THE BACK

ALSO THE INTAKE WAS DIFFERENT WITH THE PIPE TRAVELLING OVER THE ENGINE FRONM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER IE - LEFT TO RIGHT THEN JOINING THE THROTTLE

BOTH THESE HAVE COOLER PIPING -- INTAKE GOING TO THE THROTTLE RUNNING PARALLEL WITH THE ENGINE

AND WTF IS THAT GOLDEN CONNECTION ON THE INTAKE PIPING LEADING T THE THROTTLE BODY , THATS SUPPOSED TO BE PLUGGED WITH SOME PLASTIC CAP IN STOCK FORM ,

WTF Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused

I was only asking what the physical differences are, if there is any...

as for the gold piece of pipe, it looks like it is some sort of BOV adapter....

MR-1GGTE - took all my parts to a guy here in adelaide to get polished, cost me $350 all up, and that was mates rates too...
take a look....
but everything had to come off and be pulled apart to get done

looks awesome dude, but for $350 its not really worth it just for bling effect anyway, however i reckon i might get the throttle body side and plenium done when i go for the single turbo conversion...

Cos your engine looks Shocked awesome!
