JZA70 - non-engine mods

I've come to the stage where extracting more power from the engine is going to take a deep breath and big bucks. I'm interested in what other people have to say about weight reduction mods for the relatively porky Supra.
I've already removed the back seats and all the trim from the boot, but what else can be done to lose a few more kilos? I'm quite keen on maintaining some comfort for the street, and I'm looking at a lighter drivers seat. How much does the electic seat weigh anyway?
Of course I'm not made of money, so I can't afford those goodies like a full titanium exhaust.
(I'll probably get bored of it sometime and just "have" to go single turbo / injectors / aftermarket computer - but for now I'm happy )

Those seats weigh a ton, I've pulled em out of an MA70 a few times. Replace them with some lightweight race-type seats and you'll lose a lot of weight!
Supras have a lot of sound-deadening material, so you could save a bit more weight by stripping that. It's a fair bit of work though.

By sound deadening do you mean those mats of some plastic stuff stick on the metal panels? Is there any easy way of removing them in one piece, or do I have to hack them off? How do the race guys do it to achieve that stripped chassis look?

get rid of your spare, who really needs one anyway?
if you can be bothered you can swiss cheese the front and rear bars, as standard they are so solid that an impact usually bends the chassis or quarters anyway so hole sawing them will probably give you more protection in a small acco ie. the bar will break first
not that it would make too much of a difference but you ccould piss the window washer gear off i know i never use mine.
