new RA6x/MA6x hatches?

Was talking to this realy drunk bloke at the pub last night and he was telling me he got a new hatch(from toyota) for his girlfriend`s RA65....Said it cost him around$800 about 6 months ago.Didn`t think much of it at the time but now i`m curious.Does anyone know if you can still buy new hatches for these cars????.......it`s a bit late to ring toyota:)

Yes, Toyota can get you a brand new one with proper drainage holes and stuff that they thought of later. He got it cheap though...Toyota quoted me ~$1500 for a brand new one.

makes me wonder whether I should just rip the hatch of my ra65 and put it on the ma61...
'cause my ra65 hatch is absolutely flawless... I didn't know waht everyone was complaining about till I started supra shopping

Haha, yeah, my Celica's one is f**ked...whereas the Celica XX one I have is almost perfect...have seen ones with gaping holes in them.

yeah both my RA65 and MA61 hatches are rooted!....i couldn`t care less about the RA65 but i`m after a good hatch for the MA61.
Rang a few toyota dealers today and the best price i could get was $1350!.......
Franky.....do you have yourself a project car now?

Well mine hasn't got any rust and has the original paint. Dunno why. Maybe cause it was garaged all its life.

That could be the reason  My tailgate on my new car has had a fresh coat of paint a while back by the looks of it, but it has SFA rust on it, and doesn't appear to have any bog in it.
