Open Mac .jpg files on PC??

Hi,
I've got a few images i got off an old mac this morning, which i cant open at home on my PC. I can read the disk, and see that the files are there, even recognise that they're jpgs, but Irfanview (& everything else ive got) says 'cant read file format' or similar.
Any suggestions?
ta,
Nick

if you can post them up on the net (if not private) or PM me and I'll try it with my Mac and convert it at work to do it for you...
Cheers.

you may be trying to open the resource fork of the file not the actual file (resource fork would have stored the icon, modified/creation dates, creator/doc typte etc).
sounds more like it's either not a jpeg, or the file is corrupted.
have you tried dragging the file icon onto a blank web browser window? IE is able to show all manner of jpeg files.
and what is the file size (use "properties" window to correctly get this)? If it's only 1-2K then you've not got the actual image.
what is the name of the directory the file is in (on the disk you took home)?
