18rgeu rebuild prices and advice

Ive just started gathering my stuff for a turbo rebuild and im after advice on the rebuild and the prices i got. Ive got my full gasket kit, and big end bearings and main bearings for $275. is that a good price? I got chrome molley rings to suit my 18rc pistons for $95. is that good?? To balance the engine should i get the crank done on its own or assemble it in the block and then get it balanced or do i also put the pistons in and get them all done at once?? Will lightening the flywheel make the turbo engine go better or worse or no difference? What sort of head work should i get done to it? valves, polish etc. Im also running the efi cams so should i just leave them as is or do anything to them. I want to build a engine that goes but that will also last. so i dont wanna go overboard if its gonna make the engine give out. When i tension the crank, pistons etc do i need to retension them at all. What about the head? some people say that with the new headgaskets now they dont need to be retensioned. Is that true? Any other advice would be great on this.

i got all 18r-c parts and this is what paided, i got them through my brothers work, non-genuine at retail price.
rings- $75 (r-c cast rings)
full gasket set (r-c)- $97
b.end bearings- $40
main bearings- $52
thrust washer- $12 (i think)
total- $276
i still have to get a few gaskets that are unique to the r-g
so it will cost a bit extra.
what compression ratio will u acheive from the r-c pistons?? are they forged?? how much boost are u going to run??
anyway thats what i paid, good luck with ure engine. i would be keen to see pics of it

You need to get a 18R-G engine manual. (I have one, but not for sale). This will tell your everything about assembly. Just follow thats. Its almost the same precedure for all engines.
When I got my crank ballanced, I gave them just the crank, the flywheel, flywheel bolts, and clutch. Maybe you can give them the front pully also.
If it is all standard, you won't realy need a ballance. I had to get my flywheel ballanced because I had lightened it, so got the crank done also.
Nothing will need retensioning. You can te-tension the head gasket if you like, but not realy needed these days.
