and it isn't like that noise from brake pads shifting

it really sounds like it is in the shafts.. but stuffed if I know what it is.. any ideas?

I have a brand new shaft in the RHS and the oldy in the LHS.. but should be no dramas with either of them..

ps- rob, im still driving round with that bit of alloy in my car, ill make it up your way one day - just have exams looming, so have started paniking, and actually doing a bit of work (crazy idea, i know)
