Mate the Benefits of being a Toymods Member vary allot from member to member, its a personal thing in more ways than not. For some and I dare say most of us it is as simple as being a contributing part of something we beleive is worthwhile. Just being able to say we are helping further the life of a great social resource and for what most of us has become a wider circle of friends and source on information. These Forums are just a tiny part of what membership is really about. In a time where Car clubs are becomming an endangered species there is some pride to be had in being part of a club that is surviving and growing and keeping the Mateship amongst Toyota enthusiasts alive. These forums may one day be forced to close down but the club itself will put up one hell of a fight !
And to be honest it is a bit of a "Boys Club" amongst the longer standing members. The finacial members who have been around for a while and are more passionate about things will be much more willing to offer support to financial mebers than just forum users. It may sound harsh but if you have 5 minutes online and 2 threads you could offer advice in, The financial member will win out every time. Its not that we don't want to help eveyone just a time and priority thing. Fact is these forums were started to help the CLub members, what they have become is great but there purpose is still the same.
If your not big on the whole supporting the cause side of things and being a financial part of the club itself then your benefits are limited due to your not being in NSW. We are always looking for club sponsors (In ALL states) and hopefully we will get more in the other states of Australia. We just need people in those States to help us find and arrange them.
As a member you of course get your sticker and T-Shirt and the physical benefits, plus discounted entry to most events if you ever trek up to enjoy them.
Otherwise there is always the sponsorship thread if you just want to help these forums survive. Toymods the forum wouldn't exist without Toymods the Car Club.
