How hard is it to change piston rings on a 100kw and a 20v (silver), I have 2 friends that their cars are blowing a lotta smoke and starting ot make a little noise.

How do you go about changing the rings too??

I ripped the 20v down to find that it has bearing gouges and scores on most of em from the bottom side, is that also a hard jobbie to do, and I feel that i should help simmo (the guy with the 20v) with hte whole lot, has anyone done either jobs and are there any special tools i will need to get to help complete this job

Cheers

Special tools: ring compressors, rings pliers, rings file, torque wrench, honing tool, some bits of hose to slip over the end of the conrod bolts. Um...plastigauge to check bearing clearances. Thats all I can think of at the moment. I'm sure there is other stuff that may come in handy.
