Hi guys
Need some opinions. I am able to get a bolt on Quad throttle kit for my ae86 4age blue top, with an adapter for $1200, S-AFC gen 2 for $580 . Is this a fair price ??
Or a set of cams. ?????.
I love the howling sound of the quads ... )))))

With a bit of hands on, you should be able to come up with quad throttles for a fair bit less than that. I imagine they would be 20valve quads, which should only cost a few hundred (500 at the most?) and having someone fabricate a custom adaptor should only be a couple hundred.
What's the S-AFC?

Probably that Apex'i air-fuel controller or something, for tinkering with settings.

Yeah, that's it, prolly a Super-air fuel controller, or something like that.
In that case, it won't be enough for the standard computer, you'd have to get an aftermarket computer (I'm pretty sure).
There won't be enough vacuum at idle for the standard MAP sensor. Someone back me up here.... or correct me if I'm wrong.

with a stock ECU and cams, don't expect any power gains with quads. possible even expect to loose power due to the short runners actaully decreasing the volumetric efficiency of the engine with standard cams. you can also expect to loose usable torque making the car a pig to drive.
if you plan to keep the stock ECU, i'd go cams first, nothing radical, say 250 - 260 deg duration max and up to 9mm lift unless you go to a shim under bucket configuration...
quads are something you should consider after installing big cams and ECU to take full advantage of what they offer.
