Get a tape measure. Measure the engine. Now measure the engine bay. This should give you a good indication of whether or not the engine will fit.

Firstly any conversion is possible, the question is how much heartache do you wish to inflict on yourself?

As for cost, how long is a piece of string? A little more info may help here like how much work you are going to do yourself etc.

These things are strong and torquey for one reason - they're fucking enormous.

As asbove, you can do absolutely anything given the money - but to be honest this one falls into the too hard basket. You ahve two options if you want to 'power up' the Hilux - sell the 250 and buy a 1GGTE (probably about a $5000 job and a long process) or else if you're attached to the 250 buy something bigger. You can bolt these things into Cortinas, you know...

put a windsor v8 in it Very Happy

but on a serious note, measure it all up to see if itll fit...250s are a strong motor and go quite well with turbos slapped on the side of them Wink

I think the 250 crossflow has potential. theres one in a car mag atm that runs 11.something seconds. but its a mega dollar turbo engine so i suggest either buy a ford or get a different engine 1ggte etc.
