Of course this is just my opinion, but I voted silver, looks good against the dark paint, never goes out of style.
Charcoal would be my second option. Black is a tough one to pull off, most (not all) dark or black cars with black wheels don't look real good that I have seen. Some just look a little Joe Dirt-esque.
In the end, it's whatever you like though and that's what counts.
I think the "other" colours people are voting for may be:
fluorescent yellow, orange or pink (that's my guess ).
Cheers.

Ben, I think black OR charcoal would really be the wrong look against your MR2 (since the colours would be so similar). Unfortunately I can't really come up with anything better to vote Other for though sorry..

I voted silver as they would contrast well with your current colour. you might want to consider white for the contrast it can provide... but personally i'd choose silver

i love black wheels, but i really dont think black will be good on your car.
i think polished silver will be best for that colour

Hi,
Polish them up. They'll look good against the dark colour of your car. Also, you can get fancy and polish the rims and the centre section and paint the arms in black or charcoal. This gives you a good contrast not only on the wheels, but also has some silver there for contrast against your car. When I say silver, I mean get them polished up until they gleam (there are polishers who do this - and also paint the mags). The black/charcoal paint should be satin finish 'cos matt looks bad and you don't want high gloss black 'cos it will detract the gloss of the car paint. Well, that's my humble opinion anyway.

Have you got any pictures of them in white?
Polished is definately out, nothing too shiny.
I'm thinking either white, or the original silver/grey now..

Just to throw a spanner in the works.
Picture this, gold palted wheels and all your Toyota badges replaced with gold plated bling bling dollar signs!!!
That would be a real head turner!!
Just kidding, white would look good though. You see a few black skylines and other nissan imports getting around Canberra with white wheels and most of them do look neat.
From the two choices you have narrowed it down to I don't think you can go wrong. Both will look good, flip a coin to decide. Or do 2 in white, two in silver/grey, white ones on one side of the car, grey/silver on the other. It's a win win situation!
I am just an ideas man..........

Paint them bright red. The bright red ones looked good on your car at Wakefield.
