I get the same error code with my CDX52 changer. I've got the manual for the head unit and in there it says that you need to reset the changer. But stuffed if I can find the Reset button. Sad

Tried Sony tech support? Pioneer set me up with an original manual for $6 and copies of the installation diagrams and operation instructions for DFS alarm module for free. This was for my KEHP7650, which is about 1997 model (7 years old, ie. heaps ancient in car audio terms).

here you go.
This is the best I could musta. It shows the actual location of the reset button, which is hidden by the front panel not to be confused with the off button.

Try; Press and hold the "6" button (on the head unit) for more than 4 seconds.
