Help for a friend in need - BRIS *urgently* 4AC head

Hi guys
Cut a long story short a guy from work has just become a dad and now both wife & bub have a few health problems. Their car (AE82 Corolla 4AC) just blew a head gasket which is the last thing they needed
Apart from the obvious money difficulties, the guy really needs a break and I want to help out if I can. He's been told that the head is cactus and needs to be replaced, and I figure these are worth next to nothing second hand.
If someone could help out that'd be great - located in Brisbane and happy to negotiate payment as long as you're reasonable. Unfortunately he's been quoted some typically astronomical figures by his mechanic who is little more than a scum sucking dog like the rest of them
Thanks for your help.

i've got a complete 4AC engine in the "wrecked engines" shed. you can have the head off it if you come take it off and then buy the essential new parts like gaskets from us. can do a good deal on these as we own an engine rebuild shop. hope this helps. no hassles if you get a better offer. terry

I gave a 4AC head away a few weeks ago to some people that couldn't afford to fix up their corolla, gave away a whole engine a year or two ago to another family who couldn't afford to fix it. I THINK I've got another head kicking around SOMEWHERE, but it'd cost more than it's worth to ship it up there. Good luck though!
