I have an older laptop Toshiba 460 CDT 166 32Meg 2.1Gig. The problem is that I am typing away with assignments, and all these windows start opening up, I mean8 to 9 windows just start opening everywhere accross the screen. What is going on, Oh yes the computer is not connected to the internet.
Thanks in advance

was it ever connected to the internet?
That probably means you have spyware on it or something....get either Ad-ware 6.0 and scan your system. Or just download Mozilla Firefox with inbuilt popup blocker...kills IE

Ya probably hitting the touchpad + mouse buttons with your hands as you type. Very easily done.

if you don't lift your hands up does it keep going?
You might find the top panel might sag in a bit too much after a fews years of use and you did say it was a pentium 166 with 32 Megabytes of memory. Some age there. they can sag. Make sure the surface the lappy sits on is flat as . I think i remember the 1 u have . it's a bit of a block, so maybe not sag. pull the top off, the is a way. it is the way in. u can lift the keyboard up after u remove the surround. might have to remove some screws.
The only 1ns u will have to remove on the bottom will probably have arrows next to the holes.
Just check the condition of the keyboard and the ribbon cable attached to it. Blow it all out.
Let me know how u go.
