TA22 Inteior into RA23

Hi guys i was after some info and i might be getting my hands onto a full TA22 interior and was wondering how it would go bolting into an RA23 i was only interested in the dash pad seats carpet door skins and rear parcel shelf any info would help me greatly.

HiYa Pete, the TA22 crash pad will not fit an RA23/TA23/RA28.  The door trims, rear cards and parcel shelf will fit in your 23.  The carpet may fit, depending on the style and if it was cut to suit the 22.

do you know how much the TA22 dash/crash pad does not fit by is it close or is it out by miles

The only way to fit a TA22 crash pad to an RA23, would be to replace the entire dash struccture (including all the metal frame that is welded to the body) with the one out of the 22. Oh yeah, also the air ducts from the airbox (plenum) in front of the 22, are totally different to the 23. I would love to see a TA22 dash in a 23, as in my opinion, the 22 dash is the BIZ.

Yea i would be tempted easy enough to arrange but just i bit to much work considering i want it on the road in 7 weeks

Hi,
I think the seat rails/attachment are different also. However, someone more enlightened may be able to verify this.
Do you have the entire TA22 dashboard, or just the crach pad bit?

TA22 seats wiil not fit into an RA23. The rails can't even be changed over!. The only way to use 22 seats, is to remove the covers, and fit them to your RA23 seat bodies. I bought my first RA23 in 1982, and been playing with them ever since.
