I have a filter on my tapper cover instead of it recurculating back into the engine can someone tell me how much benifit i will gain from this because it is making a mess of my tapper cover and engine bay.

and what does it mean if this is leaking oily air.???

probably not much. itll keep your intake slightly cooler and cleaner.

if it is leaking oily air then the filter wouldnt be sealed very well. (it should just be venting air. the filter should stop the oil.)

yeh but when the filter get full is when it leaks when i clean it is fine but i dont want to be cleaning it every week.

Run a hose from it to under the car and let the oil drip on the ground. No this is not something i would do though.
