I actually think they made a toyota head for them sometime along the lines. but headgasket should fit...how much are u getting one for?

Some of them have "Toyota" on them, others have "Yahama", but they were all made by Yamaha. And yes the headgaskets are all the same.

i guess he isnt speaking from his knowledge but a parts dealer catalogue. but he still insits that it wont go on a yamaha head. i was also telling a couple other people they were all made by yamaha but they also insisted they werent. ohh well, let em think what they want

IF i were you, i would politely advise the parts-catalog-reader that they use the same goddam block!
so the top bit - namely the deck that meets the head - is pretty much going to be the same
therefore the head gasket both both models (and probably the 18RC and 18R as well) will be the same
you should then unzip, flip our your member, point to the small bit on the end of it and tell captain parts-catalog-reader that the pointy bit and his head are the same thing.

Yeah ake sure that after youve fitted it that you go back to the place and inform him that the gasket fitted Perfectly!!!
