EOI - Simmons to suit celica and custom sub box and 2x15in subs - NOW WITH PICS

G'day....
i am looking at changing a few things bout my car after it comes out of the paint shop... as a result i am after expressions of interest in 2 items....

Firstly a set of simmons....
they are B45 in style
front 15 x 7
back 15 x 8

Tyres are good and are goodyear F1 in 205/50/15 and 225/50/15

the centres have been sandblasted and powder coated gold... so if you wish to paint the centres a different colour there is a good surface to start from.

The second item is a custom subbox to suit a ra28 celica.
it replaces the back seat.
it has 2 x 15 inch PPI subs, if you dont know what these are - go look around the net. the box is too hard to explain.... pics will follow tonight when i get home.

I am after interest and offers at the moment... if the money is in the right ballpark then i will sell if not.....

Well firstly mate, il be the first to express interest in the Simmons rims.. And just seeing how the sub-box mounts in the rear hatch area! 2 15" subs would sure rattle that hatch window, among other things, haha.. What sort of dB were u getting with that setup? Nah seriously, So the rims fitted your ra28 fine? Were they made up to fit your car? ie correct offset for the standard ra23/8 celica front strut? Do they guard out at all? or rub strut or anything at any point in turning wheel lock to lock? Do you know the Offset of the rims? Gold centre is good, what are the outer rims like? any dings, scrapes? Ive pm'd u with a bid even tho im in adelaide, but a pic would be good, maybe even on the car if uve got one? im willing to pay for them to be shipped to SA if the price is right. heya, yeah the sub box goes really hard.... never tested the db.... as for the rims.... they fit a 28 perfectly no dramas at all. i think the offset is around 28 but not 100% i did measure it at one stage but cant remember. the rims are good... i'll organise some pics soon Stew [Report message to a moderator]

here are the pics of the sub box...

as you can see it has a removable cover that makes it very stealthy.

the cover under the subs is anodised aluminium, not polished.

the box is ported as you can see from underneath and is intricately shaped to suit the floor of the 28. it fits all the way to the inner 1/4s.

i could possible sell the amps as well as they are mounted on front....

one is a 2 chanel kicker... the other is a 4 chanel audio line.

Hmm... ill have to think about a grand, but thats not a bad price still if they are clean as you say they are.. Depending on freight charges i could be keen on the rims. how much do each wheel&tyre approx. weigh do you reckon stew? Il find out some costs of freight to Adelaide from Newcastle, NSW.. It is just 4 wheels isnt it? you say good tread, so the tyres are roadworthy with some rubber left? any camber wear? gutter scratches? the car next to me in that pic is HYPO23 a ra23 celica, it has 17 in lensos. will wigh the wheels for you. the tyres have heaps if tread and wear pattern is good. one or both (cant remember, will look) of the back tyres have a scratch on the edge of the tread where it hit my guards when i first changed the diff (it is wider than the srock diff) they now fit well but i had to roll the guards and adjust panhard rod etc. The mark is now fitted to the inside of each wheel, i can take a pic and send to your e-mail if you like. The rims fit perfectly on a celica with factory style diff and front suspension.... ie you dont need spacers or to change anything... Stew [Report message to a moderator]

Sweet cheers, thanks for that re-assurance that theyll fit the stocker-type diff and front struts.. Thats what im running at present until the 18R-GE comes out sometime... What diff did you change to?? like how much wider was it do you reckon? Were you running corona or coil-over type front suspension? the new diff is a volvo diff... it is 1400 wide opposed to the 1370 odd of the celica diff..... the rims still fit but i needed to roll the lips of the guards. i am running corona struts now... but they fitted with the standards too. i wieghed the rims today..... well i wieghed one of the rears which are bigger - 17kg which i thought was alot until i weighed a spare tyre of the same size and the tyre weighed 9kg by itself.
