Seam Welding a Sprinter

I've heard alot of ppl mentioning seam welding sprinters i wanted to know where in paticular they need it... im planing on striping down a sprinter and fixing it up and thought while its apart i could doo little things like this that may help with what i may have in store for it...

Don't seam weld it, stitch weld it.
There have been a few threads on this, have a quick search on stitch welding.

do u know how big a job it is
u first have to strip the paint off every seam also strip the gum and silastic inbetween seams
this is if you want to do the whole car

when i build my next sprinter i think the best way to do this is to strip the whole car back to a bare shell, chisel all the tar crap off the floorpan of the car then get the whole thin acid dipped so theres no paint,selastic,seam sealer and whatever else interferes with welding.
then start stitch welding whereever panels throughout the car overlap each other i.e engine bay, undercarriage etc...
