i am currently modifying a Mk11 cortina and was wondering what was associated with a 4agze conversion. Does anyone know of the conversion been copleted and what was necessary for the conversion. also are there any good suppliers of import 4agze engines in Sydney who could supply the engine.

hey dude
I was just wondering what year cortina that was? Because I have a friend from work who owns a Cortina (the boxy shape one), and he's running a 7MGTE engine (automatic though) from a Toyota Supra.
If you ask me, something with a bit more power would be better for the cortina. Considering it is a slightly heavy car, I'd be leaning more toward the 7M or 1JZGTE conversion (i know someone else who is putting one in their cortina), not trying to sway you or anything..........in relation to your question I have never seen a 4AGZE conversion on any cortina
Suppliers - check SSS Automotive, Japperformance, ichiban etc etc

A mark II cortina is late 60' right? If so a 7MGTE is totally the wrong choice too big and too heavy. A 4AGZE would suit the car much better

guyz the mk2 cortina is small like a datto 1600...
this conversion has been done a few time actually i'll try find an article in one of my mags i do remember reading about it though, so you have the head start there with knowing it can be done... and i'd reconmend asian auto spares in slacks creek QLD or Jap performance
if i remember correctly it actually sits in there quite easily...there is a heap of room under the bonnet for it!!!
i don't know how wild you want to go with this machine but i so love the idea of the 20v 4a but again depends on what end resault your after...
ohh and also you can get the half cut outta the is200's apparently they have around 150-160 kw and are 6 speed but i thing these are expensive let us know how you go....
