Spoke to Dale: Price is closer to $8000
The intercooler is unknown to him, but *I believe* it is 7MGTE intercooler with outlets at each end. All he knows is its from a Supra.
Car is in SA, available now.
Like I posted earlier, ring him for the finer details.

Decided to keep car after finding out how much insurance for his next desired ride: $3500.
Funny thing is, I doubt an XR6 would keep pace with a GZE AE86

You obviously haven't driven a good XR6 then...
mind you, even tricked up with about 130kw at the wheels I admit I've had cars I wouldn't think have ANYTHING worthwhile in them absolutely leave me in a 97 EL XR6 for dead.
Think a ratty looking white ta22 with a blonde girl driving it (canberra, anyone know someone like this?), at the lights just going into a 100 zone... me thinking "nahh... looks too sh!tty to go hard"... and about five seconds later she was gone in a cloud of blue smoke... I heard the BOV from a fair way away, so whatever she had in it was... umm... better than mine!
But, I drive an XR6 every day to work while my KE55 is undergoing a heart transplant (SIV 13B turbo... yay!) and I like it...
Actually that particular incident got me thinking about buying me a celica instead of modding my corolla... hmmm... decisions decisions!
$0.02! and my insurance on the XR is only $780 pa, 22 male AAMI... started with NRMA, they charged me $2850 at age 20 with a 50% NCB from me parents! let's just say that didn't last long...
Cheers 'n beers...
