there was an article in hot 4s or fast fours a few months back with it done but in an RA23 (I think)
From what I heard a year or so ago from an inporter is that it is very hard to get the engines now as they are getting to old
You might want to look at something else
good luck with it

there was also a fast fours i think a couple of issues ago, with a SR20det fitted in an RA28, that silver one. This looked pretty nice but i bet it costed a bit to fit, with the foreign gearbox also having to be put in place. I think it still runs stock diff tho, or i might be wrong.. But this is another alternative if you have to go nissan and want power.
But for the price you pay for that why not go a 3T-gteu, 3Sgte, or fully rebuilt efi18RG with bolt on turbo??? or even a rota, i have seen that 4sfed ta22 and it is nuts. Ive always wanted to see a 13bTurbo in a celica Remember V8's are also only the length of a four-cyl so u could dump a 1uz in there how bout that?or are the engine bays not wide enough hmmm.
But fj's are tough engines and if thats what you want and you have the flows i bet its not impossible. But try finding one thats strong and not being hunted for by datto owners...

3SGTE Going to be easily as hard as any Nissan engine
Or there is always an S2000 engine, at least everything else spins the "right" way

Hi
An FJ20ET into an Early 70's Celica would be very nice.
There is some info on my site about a couple of FJ20 Toyotas. A very nice Purple KE10 Rolla and My RT40 Corona. A Celica would have a fair bit more engine bay room as well.
