There are still a few cars locked away in sheds and under the pine trees.
Found last year..
What is it? BLOODY RUSTY
A bit of a mystery.
EGT, O2 sensor, CAt Converter,
Near as I can find out it is an S130 series 280Z-Ti Fairlady 280Z first 1000 ever made but serial numbers normally start with a 1 not a zero so its possibly a development car or ex Total RALLY 280Z??
(not like the Aussie 280ZX) It has a manual steering rack, no air, no power assist, 180K speed limited
ECCS, Showa Protocol L28 E T model made in June 1978 a full year before the Aussie 280ZX hit the streets,
Siamese exhaust system 3 inch. Plate says 215 PS (250 horse?/)
You tell me. Oh and NO COMPLIANCE PLATE
so DOTARS say wait until its 30 years old before attempting to register it and then APPLY.

yeh dikheads wit the rego number wat diks but yeh man its a cool car hey just hope it doesnt go to waste a museum would be the perfect resting place. but yeh as for fast and furious i prefer sumthing that isnt rare and that id be scared to drive because at least with a common care i kan replace it and wont have to worry about be the last man responsible for the exctinction of that model you know what im sayin. I drive a Vn wagon rare coloumn shift. 8 seater. i dnt no what i kould replace it cause from what ive heard its the only one of its type.

Also notice how used cars dont bring much anymore possibly due to all the Korean Crap Hyundias and KEYASS?
I have a Group A 1986 GTI Suzuki 1300 CC 7000 rpm rocket 200 k. Light. 750 KG only. All the dickheads on the Suzy pages have SF series and try to make em go fast. But they weight near 950 KG so I say buy an SA heh heh later mate. Got to go and fit more stuff to the car I pulled outa the drink..
Coupla pricks at Bowraville stole this off a lady and dropped it into a river. Break your bloody heart bastards.. .
$8500 to $1500 in one joy ride, only 7700 km on speedo..

The colour's bloody beautiful, it's your kids that are ferral!!!
Seriously, I doubt you'll find a museum currator amongst us, I'd suggest a mail out to appropriate museums.

Hi,
I'll look after it. It'll sit nice in the garage next to the '25. And, you know how good the '25 is and that I'm finalising the last bits to bring her back to her full JDM glory. Next project will be the RT104 restoration. I'll register myself as the "JDM Classics Museum"

I am definetly no expert on these cars - hell it is hard to find anything on them in English in print or on the web (but I am luckly enough to have a copy of the Modern Motor with this article), but I imagine they would have sold in some volume in Japan, along with the 2 door hardtop version.
Maybe with the Japanese policy of scapping cars before their time, the Corona GT's were not seen as desirable as say the Celica GT and Levins etc?
It is possible that another sedan or hardtop GT has sneaked in to the country over the years that few people know about....
